Most families have countless photos of their children, but very few where everyone is truly in the frame. Someone is always behind the camera. A family session is a rare chance to pause and bring everyone together — parents, young children, and even grown-up children — captured in one moment in time.
My approach to family photography is relaxed and natural. I’ll guide you through the session from start to finish, from choosing a location and outfits to gently prompting moments that feel effortless and real. Alongside a few classic portraits, the focus is on genuine connection — the laughter, closeness, and quiet interactions that make your family uniquely yours.
How it works
Before the session

Before your family session, I’ll be in touch to confirm whether your shoot will take place in your home, at my Stockport-based studio, or at an outdoor location such as a local park. I’ll also send a short questionnaire to get to know your family and your preferences.
I’ll guide you through outfit choices and share simple preparation tips, so you can feel relaxed and prepared on the day.
During the session

Family photography with ShootMe is about more than just beautiful images — it’s about telling your family’s story.
You can choose a classic, studio-style family portrait with a clean, professional and timeless feel, or a more relaxed, lifestyle approach that captures natural interactions, laughter and everyday moments as they unfold. Many families choose to combine both, giving you a gallery that feels both polished and deeply personal.
From carefully posed family portraits to candid moments of connection at home, in the studio or outdoors, my aim is to document your family life just as it is — warm, real and full of love. Everyone is welcome, including siblings and pets.
After the session

Within one week of your session, you’ll receive a carefully curated online gallery of fully edited images, finished in my signature artistic style.
You’ll then select the images included in your package for premium retouching. Each chosen photograph receives an additional level of detailed refinement, including natural skin smoothing, balanced tones, subtle shaping and the gentle removal of any distractions — always keeping the final image natural and true to you. I’ll continue refining your selected images until you’re completely happy.
There’s no pressure to upgrade or purchase extra photographs — my focus is simply on delivering images you truly love.

Home or Outdoor Sessions: For sessions at your home or on location, an additional £20 travel fee applies to cover the transport and care of professional equipment.

All team members are DBS-checked, and your information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
